Why Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products Matter for Your Family and Pets

Green is in our name for a reason. Albina brings more than 25 years of personal cleaning experience to AG Green Cleaning; that experience is separate from the LLC’s registration date. Today we know much more about how conventional cleaning chemicals affect indoor air, children, and pets — and the science is clear: green cleaning is better cleaning.

What's hiding in conventional cleaners

Many standard cleaning products contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs), ammonia, chlorine bleach, and synthetic fragrances. The EPA has found that indoor air can be 2 to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air — and cleaning products are a major contributor.

• VOCs can trigger headaches, asthma, and allergies
• Ammonia and bleach fumes irritate lungs and eyes
• Residue on floors and counters is picked up by crawling babies and pets
• Synthetic fragrances are a common trigger for sensitive skin

Benefits of eco-friendly cleaning

• Healthier indoor air — no harsh fumes left behind
• Safe surfaces for kids, babies, and pets
• Better for allergy and asthma sufferers
• Biodegradable ingredients protect Bay Area waterways
• Just as effective — modern green products match or beat conventional ones
